Rajkot located on the banks of River Aji and Nirari, is the centre of Saurashtra. Aaji Dam

Aji River is the most important independent river of Saurashtra. The word Aji is derived from Sanskrit (literally meaning mother) ajjiya originating from the hills of Sardhar and Lodhika region, it travels through Rajkot, Padadhari and Morbi Taluka of Rajkot district and meets the Arabian Sea near the village Ranjitpara of Jodiya Taluka of Jamanagar District. It has a beautiful garden, an aquarium, an aviary, a zoo etc. It is an excellent picnic spot, surrounded by small hills.

Karan Singhji Balaji Mandir

Karan Singhji Balaji Mandir is popular temple of Lord Hanumanji in Rajkot. It is located on Bhupendra Road – the main city area of Rajkot. Daily pujan, archan and aarti is performed during morning and evening time. Balaji Anna kheshtra gives free food as a prasad to various needy and poor people. It is also organised and managed by Swaminarayan Sampraday.

Bhakti Dham Temple

Bhakti Dham Temple is also very famous temple of Rajkot. Daily Pujan Archan with Aarti is performed during morning and evening time. It is located near kalawad road on panchvati main road. Panchvati area is very peaceful area of Rajkot. People can feel deep serenity and peace of mind by simply sitting in divine atmosphere of Bhakti Dham Temple.

Nyari Dam

Nyari Dam one of the fascinating place of Rajkot and major tourist attraction. Nyari dam is 5kms away from Rajkot. It is an attraction for nature lovers and bird watchers. Nyari Dam is a dazzling place with wonderful splendor. Nyari dam has been made a picnic spot for localities so that they can visit and enjoy the view of the dam.

Gayatri Mandir

Gayatri Mandir is temple of Maa Gayatri located on Kalawad Road. Daily Pujan Archan with Aarti is performed during morning and evening time. Ocasionally Havans arranged on hindu festivals. Special Puja and Havans arranged on Janmastami, Dushera and Diwali.

Rotary Doll Museum

One of the popular museums of Rajkot is the Rotary Dolls Museum. This museum attracts tourists because of its own specialty and unique identity. This is the only museum in whole of India which houses more than 1500 dolls collected from hundred countries all over the world.

Shivaji Park, Race Course

Shivaji Park is famous garden of Race Course, Race Course is 3km circle near kishanpara chowk. Cricket Ground, Indoor Statim, Fun World and many garden is available in Race Course.

Watson Museum

The Watson Museum is situated in the Jubilee Gardens. The Watson Museum was established in 1888 and stands as a commemoration. Colonel James Watson was the political agent of Saurashtra from 1886-89. At the side of the entrance of the Watson Museum stand two statues of Majestic lions. A part of the Watson museum in Rajkot is now being used as a library. The Watson Museum has an excellent collection of traditional and archaeological items.
